The apartment is in a quiet location perfectly positioned for access to the beach, Vilamoura Marina and to Quarteira. Rui the owner of the apartment has thought of everything you could possibly need and more besides, There are even bikes to use in his downstairs lock up which are ideal as this area is very flat and perfectly safe for cycling. The quality of the fixtures and fittings are top notch and the apartment is spotlessly clean and spacious with a large balcony on which to have breakfast or lunch or to sit and sip your gin and tonics whilst watching the sun go down. Pool area is large and quiet with sunbeds for use or the beautiful beach is a 5 minute stroll away. Rui provides a welcome pack which was the best we have ever seen. After collecting us from the airport Rui was kind enough to take us on a small tour of the locality and recommended several traditional restaurants. We particularly enjoyed O Painel, which is close to the apartment and Mammamia on Quarteira seafront. We also enjoyed the Zu Yi Chinese restaurant in Vilamoura Marina. Nightlife in Vilamoura is excellent with many top quality bars and restaurants at reasonable prices. Quarteira is very traditional and is equally appealing. We would like to say a big thank you to Rui for helping us to make our stay so enjoyable and we will definitely return to this lovely apartment for another relaxing week in the glorious Portuguese sunshine. When we pulled up in the car park to Rui's infectious smile we knew we had made the right choice of accommodation. His apartment has everything you need for a self catering holiday with all mod-cons including a smart TV in the bedroom. We were blessed with wonderfully warm/hot weather for Easter which even made a swim possible in the I unheated pool. Rui even has a number of bikes to borrow to enable you to explore a little further, although there is plenty to see and restaurants to visit within walkable distance. A 10 minute walk to the right takes you to the glamorous Vilamoura Marina and a 8 minute walk to the left takes you to the more 'quaint' Quarteira and its fish market and extended promenade. Inbetween and to both left and right you have expansive, clean and very tempting beaches. I could go on; however we can only compare with the many places we have stayed in Europe over the years, and this is in the top 2 if not top! You need to look no further when seeking self catering accommodation in the Vilamoura area!
Este apartamento es totalmente recomendable para unas vacaciones en la playa. Si se va en temporada alta no creo que sea un sitio tranquilo, pero nosotros fuimos un puente en diciembre y no había nada de jaleo de turistas en el complejo de apartamentos. Tiene piscina comunitaria (que obviamente no usamos) pero cuenta con vistas al mar, aunque laterales. Pero eso es lo de menos, cuando tienes tan cerca la playa. El apartamento tiene ropa de cama, toallas etc. tiene de TODO. Hasta paraguas. Hasta bicicletas para todos los tamaños posibles. Cualquier cosa de la cocina que se te ocurra lo tiene y además en perfecto estado. Cuenta con un dormitorio y una cocina independientes del salón donde hay un sofá cama para dos personas bastante amplio. Andando se llega en 10 minutos al paseo maritimo de Quarteira, restaurantes, tiendas etc. El propietario (Riu) es un encanto y se preocupa porque estemos muy bien atendidos. Un 10 para él y su encantador apartamento al que seguramente volveremos.
We stayed here for 10 days and enjoyed it immensely. The owner - Rui - was excellent to deal with at all stages of the booking. From initial contact on web, to meeting us at airport, bringing us to apartment, providing us with information right up until until final day of departure, he was an excellent host. Apartment was well furnished and equipped. Situated in a great location and close to restaurants and shops. We would return in a heartbeat and hope to do so again later this year or early next year.
This really is a 'Little Gem' of an apartment mostly down to the owner Rui, who has clearly put a lot of time and effort into making sure his guests have everything they need from the start to the end of their visit. He kindly collects you from the airport ( even if you are delayed for 1 1/2 hours as we were ) and still greeted us with a smiling face as we reached the arrivals hall. A short tour of our location followed suggesting good places to eat and useful venues ie the bus terminus in Quarteira which was great for catching local buses to various places.There are buses to Albufeira and Loule and a trip to Tavira is possible by catching a bus to Faro then on to Tavira a very pretty town well worth a visit. Everything you could need is in the apartment including a wonderful hamper, essential foodstuffs in the fridge including Rui's wife's home made soup. It was nice to arrive and have all you needed to make a nice lunch without having to immediately go to a supermarket. The apartment was spotless and is well located between Vilamoura and Quarteira so there are plenty of restaurants, shops etc in the area. I can honestly say we wanted for nothing in this apartment and Rui leaves you in no doubt that if there is anything you need he is more than happy for you to contact him. A message the day before you leave from Rui confirms the agreed time for him to collect you for the return journey to the airport and sure enough that smile is still there!!! I can whole heartedly recommend this apartment to anyone and am confident that you would have a most enjoyable stay as we did. We will certainly return .
We stayed here from 4-12 October and it definitely exceeded our expectations. This is not the normal rented holiday apartment but more like staying in a lovely home with every comfort you could want and more. The added extras like the hamper full of all sorts of lovely stuff, butter, cheese, ham, milk, beer etc in the fridge plus fresh bread and wonderful soup made by Rui's wife made it feel like we were welcomed as friends. For wet days there is a huge selection of books, games and dvds and for working off excesses a selection of bikes in the basement store room. The location is perfect with just a short walk to the beach and marina or in the other direction to Quarteira. The other plus not usually included in rental apartments is the owner collecting and taking you to the airport - thanks again Rui and we look forward to our next stay!
We had begun our holiday with a week in Alvor. There we had a magnificant Apartment. On our way here we hoped that the Apartment would be as good. My sister had been telling me how my nephew had been upgraded to business class on his return to Australia. Later i was able to tell her that we too had been upgraded to business class with this Apartment. Rui, we really appreciated all the extra touches - The Hamper, the Food and Drink in fridge, the home made soup, even the table set ready for us to enjoy it. Even when we accidentally locked the keys into the room it was not an issue for you to get us back in within the hour. The use of the bikes were fantastic and made it so easy to get around the place and collect shopping, (and try get fit again)... We will be back most definitely, Hopefully May 2016. We can't say enough about how good the whole holiday experience is. The apartment is spotless and the owners cater for your every need with a lovely hamper of goodies and a fridge stocked with food to last you a few days including home made soup which is wonderful. The airport pick up is great as Rui also gives you a tour of the local area and welcomes you into his beautiful apartment. It's an excellent location for exploring Vilamoura and the charming resort of Quarteira which are both only a ten minute stroll away. This is the best apartment we have ever stayed in and we are already planning our next visit. Rui is a gentleman and an excellent host.
We had been worried about our first holiday with our baby considering all the paraphernalia you generally need to bring with you. Thankfully I located this apartment and I cannot recommend it highly enough, Rui provided EVERYTHING we needed to make our stay so easy and comfortable. We had to bring very little for the baby as it was all provided along with so many more extras. The location was excellent as was the welcome package and the extra steps Rui did for us i.e. print our boarding cards. I highly recommend it if you are travelling with a baby.
I have just come back and must say that this is one of the best apartments that we have ever stayed in. I would rate it 5 star plus. The owner is amazing and provides everything that anyone could possibly want and more! It is spotlessly clean, with all mod cons. My list of good points is endless but from the pick up service at the airport to everything that was provided inc. a welcome pack, fridge items, even a tour of the area to show us places to eat, The location is fantastic being only a short walk from the Marina and also Quarteria in the other direction. I can't wait to return and would highly recommend.
We have just had an amazing four days at Rui's lovely apartment, our only regret is that we didn't stay longer! The apartment is spotlessly clean with every amenity to make your holiday a special one. The 'welcome' pack on arrival is extremely generous and the pick up/drop off at the airport a real bonus. The location is ideal, so close to the beach and only a short walk to the lovely marina. A BIG thank you to both Rui and his wife for all their effort and generosity, we will definitely stay here again if we return to Portugal in the future.

Our 1st holiday abroad with our 21months old daughter. We were very impressed with the apartment especially the welcome pack, baby equipments such as buggy, bicycle child seat and recorded films and children programmes on the tv. The location was superb as the marina and local market were within walking distance.
Despite the rain we've had throughout our stay, we were so glad we rented this apartment as this was very spacious for our daughter to run around and plenty to keep us occupied.
The bicycles were a bonus as we did a lovely ride along the beach of Quarteira.
We can't thank Rui and his family enough for their hospitality, we definitely will use this apartment again in future.

Mile Buiochas, Rui, for being such a friendly, caring and attentive host during our stay in your wonderful apartment.From the moment we arrived you made us feel at home - warm welcome, informative tour, amazing , extremely generous welcome basket, Vanda's delicious homemade soup and baked sweet potato which went down a treat plus all the little personal touches that make such a difference when one is away from home.
The apartment was spotlessly clean, wonderfully equipped with everything one could wish for and more.
The location was great, very secure and away from the noise and hustle and bustle, yet near enough to walk to the beach and marina.
We really did appreciate the free Wi-fi Broadband Internet Access which enabled us to use our I - Pad .
We were blessed with two weeks of wall - to - wall sunshine. How energising to awake in the morning to a clear blue sky and brilliant sunshine beaming through our bedroom window !

"We had a fantastic time"
We stayed in Rui's apartment last week and had a fantastic time. We made a very small dent in the amazingly generous welcome pack and only needed to buy a few additional groceries all week! Rui's wife even provided supper on our first night of scrummy home made soup, sweet potatoes and fresh bread which was so welcome after a tiring journey. Rui took time to show us round the local area after picking us up from the airport. We've been to the Algarve many times, but it was so nice to have someone who really knows the area to recommend places we wouldn't have found. The apartment was spotlessly clean and fresh and had more than anyone could wish for, and we've stayed in many apartments. All meals out were good but best dinner was at the Mayflower on the Marina, and the little Urban Caffe at the far end of the Marina for lunch or coffee. We were blessed all week with clear blue skies and hot sunshine with a nice breeze. The apartment is in the perfect location with the Marina ten minutes walk away, and Quarteira with its gorgeous beachfront a similar walk away. There is a well stocked supermarket, good coffee shop and pizza café/take out just at the end of the road. Thanks again Rui for your wonderful hospitality. The transfers to/from the airport was a fab bonus - no divorce navigating in a rental car this time! We would recommend this apartment for complete peace and mind with the perfect host.

It certainly ranks as one of the best holidays and apartment ever! We came here to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary and you made it a memorable holiday! The personal touch is first class, the pick up and return to airport a bonus. The tour and advice on arrival very helpful. The welcome pack out of this world, lots of thought and effort went into it (not just the local supermarket!). When we first went into the paprtment we thought - lovely! Once we looked round the property we couldn't believe how well equipped it was, we wanted for nothing! Like being at home (better) but in the sun!!!! Vanda's soup lovely and very appreciated especially the first night we arrived and we were too tired to go out! Your communication and availability were great, we didn't feel like holiday makers renting an apartment, we felt like guests in your home. You can tell Vanda has played a big part and still does in the set up! Although in the background you know what they say "behind every successful man is a good woman!!!" Sorry to leave, will talk about it for a long time, recommend to friends and family. We will be back.
"Excellent apartment, superb location!!!!"
My husband and I and our 18th month old daughter stayed at this apartment for one week and we couldn't fault it- from our pick up at the airport, welcome hamper( the custard tarts are fab), use of bikes, toys for our daughter
- the list is endless. The location is great and both Vilamoura marina and Quarteira are within walking distance. There are also plenty of beaches close by and we recommend taking the bikes out and exploring the area -(Rui has a baby seat for the bike which our daughter loved) We ate in both Quarteira and in Vilamoura - Quarteira is a little quieter and has more traditional restaurants and you will get some great value. We ate at la caravela - excellent fresh fish. At the marina there are plenty of restaurants to chose from but some of the gems we found were off the marina- great Italian - il trio( recommended by Rui), a taberna - tapas restaurant - great food( it's number 2 on trip advisor). "First holiday with baby"
I had stayed in this apartment last year and was so impressed that I booked to stay again. This time we travelled with our 9 month old baby and what a fantastic holiday we had. Rui made this first time experience stress free. He picked up in from airport with a car seat and the apartment was totally modified for the baby. We had a cot, night light, large floor play mat with many toys, baby bath and bath toys, highchair, all doors and corners had baby safety equipment attached and a baby gate to the kitchen. Rui even made a folder on the tv complete with all the cartoons to keep him entertained. The welcome pack is also such bonus, the soup is delicious, home made by his wife. There is wine, beers, chocolates, biscuits, bread, ham, cheese, milk and everything you need to start your holiday off without rushing out to the shops. We didn't use the bikes this time even though Rui attached a baby seat to one, but last time I was here we used them and they were so much fun. The apartment is kitted out to a high standard and is in a fantastic location to Vilamoura marina. I highly recommend this apartment and will be staying here again.
"Above and beyond expectations!"
This apartment and most importantly the friendly welcome exceeded all our expectations.
My boyfriend and I stayed for a week and it felt like home. We were met at the airport by Rui who was very friendly and showed us around the town. He suggested places to go and things to do - worth listening to as his restaurant recommendations were fabulous. The apartment is exceptionally well equipped and spacious. We had mixed weather but the wifi and a huge selection of up to date movies kept us more than entertained. Rui provided us with bikes for the week which were invaluable and gave us a load of freedom to explore the town and surrounding areas. The welcome pack included enough food and drink to feed an army. All local and fresh. Fabulous!
The apartment is very well located and very safe and secure. There is a beach across the road. The marina is at most a ten minute walk, falesia beach a ten minute cycle or twenty minute walk and the Portuguese resort of Quarteira a five minute walk. Quarteira is a more old fashioned laid back resort with a beautiful promenade and friendly people while vilamoura is a little more up market but both are equally enjoyable.
We could not recommend this apartment highly enough. We hope to return in the near future.
“Better than the pictures”
We had read all the online reviews but the reality was so much better.
We came for a relaxing "get away from it all" break and that is exactly what we got.
The starter pack of goodies was way beyond our expectations and meant we had to do very little shopping in the first few days. The films recorded especially for us on the hard drive were another nice touch as well as free wi fi and a mobile phone to use.
We spent lazy days on the beach deciding which restaurant to try that evening and were blessed with really good weather. It was a great apartment and we would love to go back.

"This was our first holiday to the Algarve and will not be our last!
This apartment has been a real home from home and Rui, the owner, made us feel comfortable and realxed from the start. It is well laid out with everything that we required for our stay - including a welcome pack which included food and wine to get us started on our holiday.
The location is great with all local amenities on the doorstep and close to all Vilamoura attractions and activities. Our plan for the two weeks was to relax and we certainly did that in fabulous surroundings spending much time between the pool and the balcony with occasional 2 minute walks to the beach and a nightly diversion to the Marina! We loved every minute!
Hospitality was excellent and we will definitely return. Rui, we will recommend your place to anyone who will listen!"
“The best holiday accommodation we have experienced”
This apartment was 5 Star quality - it had everything. Furnished to a very high standard, plenty of space/huge bathroom/big balcony with full evening sun until 8pm.Flat screen TV with a host of channels.Large swimming pool in very spacious private grounds.Bicycles supplied by the perfect host who collected/returned us to Faro Airport. Location is 2mins from Beach & 5 mins from Vilamoura Marina.
You will not be disappointed.

From the moment we arrived when Rui picked us up from the airport the service he provided was outstanding. The apartment is modern, very clean, in a great location and has everything you need for a stress free holiday. Rui provided everything we needed for our first holiday with our 8 month old daughter, from toys to a car seat for our journey to and from the airport. There were some really nice touches that made us feel special. I would recommend this apartment not only to couples with young children but it would suit anyone. “Home from Home”
When I read previous reviews I didnt beleive it until we actually arrived.
Rui met us at the airport, and even dropped our friends to their hotel without hesitation after showing us around the area. Rui's aparment was exceptional. Secure, clean, Comfortable , homely , with every untilty one would need away from home. The arrival basket was another bonus to say the least. It was the last thing we were expecting..(I'm sure Vanda had a lot to do with that..thank you).Having the use of the bicycles ,bbq on the balcony , private pool all contributed to the holiday.(wi-fi, telephone, tv ..etc. all included.)
The location of the apartment is only a short walk away from shops, casino, beach and the marina. All within a 5 -10 minute stroll.
We cannot say enough about this apartment . Book well in advance because anyone who goes there for their 1st visit will return.

“Best service ever”
This was a last minute break for us, we could not believe the owner would pick us up and drop us back at the airport as part of the service, what a bonus.
This was only the half of it, when we arrived in Vilamoura, Ruis took us on a quick guided tour, highlighting places to eat, where to visit etc..
Then the apartment, everthing you could wish for, not only clean and spacious, but a bottle of champagne, wine, plus a basic food parcel including bread, milk, fruit and nibbles, then the added bonus of bicycles for our use.
Ideally positioned, only minutes from the beach and the choice of Queteria or Vilamoura (the old and new), turn left out of the apartment and head into Queteria this is the original resort, 2km of esplanade very much Portugese, with its fish market, turn right and you head into Vilamoura, with its modern marina and more cosmopolitan clientel, either way you have plenty of places to eat and miles of beaches to enjoy.
“Would defiantly go back!!”
The apartment was fantastic, had everything you needed and more. The weather wasn't too good while we were there but there were plenty of up to date films for us to watch along with a play station 3 (ideal if you travel with children). The bikes were such an added bonus, we used them well. The apartment is in a great location a few mins walk from the marina.
Rui the owner met us at the airport and as my mother need to go to the hospital he even took us and waited even though we said we could get a taxi, he insisted that he would wait. On arrival to the apartment, his wife had made us some home made soup, which was delicious. The fridge was stocked up with everything to start us off and there was a bottle of wine, champagne and a basket of fruit. I would highly recommend this apartment and would defiantly be booking to go next year. Rui's kindness and all the little touches made this in my opinion far better than the service you expect from a 5 star hotel.
“Excellent! A master class in hospitality from the moment you land.”
Don’t need to pack anything other then your clothes even if you are travelling with a baby/child. Everything has been taken care of from the charcoal for the barbeque to baby toilet seat. Rui, the owner is a very genuine person, friendly and funny. Pay attention to his sight seeing trip around the area before he drops you, you will know everything you need to.
Apartment is very clean and modern. There is free wifi, a huge selction of movies and ps3 games. There is also a free mobile phone for you to use locally.
Vilamoura itself is posh purpose built resort next to Quarteira the main town. Vilamoura is excellent for cycling (provided by Rui including a child seat) with dedicated cycle tracks. There are other tracks as well and infact you can do the whole 14km trip to Albufeira along Falesia beach. If you haven’t cycled for a while this is a really nice place to start again. The pool was functional but cold (will not be a problem from june to sep). There is heated indoor council pool and gym facilities nearby which are better than what I have seen in Britain
Two beaches, one just outside the apartment and another slightly better one about 20min walk and 8min to cycle. Loads of places to eat, the ones at the back of marina were cheaper and better. The best food we had was at Piri Piri and A Sangria, both are authentic Portuguese food and 5-7min walk from the apartment. Piri Piri is really informal and child friendly.
Overall, I will not hesitate to come back to this apartment again, we had a lovely stress free time courtesy of Rui.

We have had great time at this apartment everything was perfect nothing left to chance! Even when we arrived there was home made soup fresh bread and wine to keep us going til the next day.
Rui is a great host and picked us up at the airport and on departure took us back and even gave us nice bag of cookies for our journey home!
Will definitely be back. First rate everything perfect, and clean and top quality you don't need worry about a thing.
“Fantastic Apartment and owner”
We decided to have a nice relaxing week away over the Christmas period after a very stressful year. We were greeted by Rui who is the most friendliest person you could ever meet. After a small tour of the area we were taken back to the apartment. There was a welcome pack waiting for us, food and drink in the fridge and the apartment is to die for. This was our 3rd stay in Vilamoura and the best by far. I would recommend this apartment to anyone. It is very spacious, clean and has all the amenities you require. The shops area a 2 minute walk away as is the beach and they have a fantastic fish market as well. There was lots of information left in the apartment for places to visit and Rui was more than helpful before we arrived over there with all the information we needed. It is very much like home from home but the views are slightly different at home ! Thank you Rui for making our holiday a very nice relaxing one from start to finish and look forward to seeing you next year.

Wonderful holiday. We were met at the airport by rui the owner, which set our holiday off to a brilliant start, he showed us round then and then took us to his superb apartment,very clean and well equiped,used the bikes all week which made our holidays good fun as we hadnt rode bikes for 30 years. Apartment in great location for marina, beach and quarteira all in walking distance.Rui was great host left lots of extras which we didn't expect. All in all 5 star will do it again soon.

Thank you Rui for making this a most enjoyable holiday. Communication from Day one of our booking enquiry was excellent. Airport transfers and guided tour were an absolute bonus. The welcome pack was amazing and very gratefully received. Your apartment is brilliantly equipped and has made a very comfortable home from home. We especially appreciated the free phone calls to the UK to check on the "young people" at home. We thoroughly enjoyed our bike rides along the prom to Quarteira and our stop off for the cocktail of the day at Doca do Navio to watch the waves crashing on the shore just yards from our feet. Our favourtie meals were those cooked on your built in BBQ but we would also highly recommend Braganca Mar Restaurant in the square at Vilamoura. Don't want to go home but all good things come to an end, so until next time.

We have had an amazing week in your apartment, really enjoyed being out on the bikes - ventured quite a long way on the other side of the marina, we went to the "O Arco" had a wonderful evening, thoroughly spoilt by the owner - food was excellent, not been much further than the beach or the pool, we did take the 3hr cruise along the coast which was fun, enjoyed the Marina with its various places to eat. The apartment is perfect. We cannot think of anything negative to comment about!
The pool area is great and we found it hard to decide whether it's the beach or the pool!
Both were clean and beautiful.
We don't want to go home but unfortunately we have to!

Again the appartment had everything you could want and we made use of the bicycles on several occasions (good for cycling on the prom at Quarteira or to the Marina, early morning when not so hot). The soup you left for us was lovely. A nice touch.
Thanks for the restaurant recommendations, Jorge Fish Restaurant was excellent. Tiger prawns and potatoes to die for! (past the supermarket and paper shop, turn left, 30 yards)

“Lovely relaxing holiday in a superb location”
On arrival we were met by Rui (the owner) at the airport and given a mini tour of the surrounding area and then the apartment. The apartment was very clean and had all you needed. The location is ideal and within walking distance to Quarteira & Vilamoura, beach is two minutes away. Great veiw from balcony. Visited local fish market for the bbq on the balcony and watched the sun go down. Many local restaraunts (didn’t visit them all so will have to go back). We would like to thank Rui for his help on arriving and leaving, he is very friendly and most helpful. A perfect host.

Very well equipped, even had a baby bath.
Beach is about 5mins level walk and the marina about 10mins level walk.
Apartment is on the first floor so if travelling with baby take light weight stroller so that you can carry it upstairs (although the owner has a stroller you can borrow as well).
We travelled with eight- month- old baby and this was our first trip away. Apartment had everything we needed and was clean, tidy, and very comfortable with all mod cons. We even stayed in one night and watched a film! And baby took to his lovely big, clean travel cot very well.
Pool is great and the beach is so close that you can easily pop back if you forget something. Supermarket within 3 mins walk.
The owner, Rui, was lovely and so welcoming and helpful and on the end of the phone if you need him.
Will definitely go back. Five star.
